Discouraged with life?

Are you a stargazer?  Oh, I am fascinated by the vastness of the Universe and all of the wonder that exists beyond Earth.  It amazes me and reminds me that God is majestic.  Take a look at what the Psalmist says in Chapter 8, “Oh Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Thy name in all the earth, who has displayed Thy splendor above the heavens.  When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained; What is man that Thou dost take thought of him and the son of man that Thou dost care for him?”  We serve a gigantic God who we know cares for us.  It is so easy for us to get caught up in the day in day out issues of our life that we forget how BIG God is!  I know you’ve been through tough times in your life and maybe you are going through something really hard right now.  Maybe things in your life are not going the way you planned for them to go.  When my life gets tough I become self-centered and my thoughts are focused on my problems.  It’s during these times, that I need a new perspective.  I need to readjust my focus and remember how big God is and how small I am.  I need to focus on His majesty.  Have you been too focused on your problems lately?  Are you discouraged with how your life is going?  Maybe you need a new perspective.  I encourage you to take some time this evening to sit out beneath the stars and think on the bigness of God?  Spend time with Him in prayer asking Him to help you change your focus.  As you gaze up at the stars, may you be reminded of how very small you are and how very big God is.  As we walk through the hard days of our lives, may we take our focus off of ourselves and instead marvel at the majesty of God.
